Mini-Break - Remember to care for yourself!

CW: Violence against women.

I tend to go offline when awful things happen in my city, and the tragic death of yet another woman causal to violence is pushing me down that path again. It’s a familiar tale, and again I’ll be writing to my local MP’s. I’ll be asking them where the support is for women and marginalised people with no registered address. Where is the funding? Where are the safe houses? What’s happening to our public housing? Why does it take the tragic death of another woman to reignite the conversation around misogyny and violence against women, when it should be an issue we stand against each and everyday? 😣 I find the consistent news cycle really overwhelming, and discussions surrounding violence against women are sometimes quite triggering for me. To save myself from falling into a pool of anxiety I'm planning to spend the next few days playing with my plants, and remembering to acknowledge the lives of those we have lost in recent times.
